Harry Potter and the Cursed Child propels product demand to new levels, says eBay

In the build up to the launch of the eighth published title in the Harry Potter series, eBay.co.uk has seen nearly one Harry Potter related item sold each minute.

The release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has helped propel demand for the wizarding franchise to new levels, according to online seller eBay.

In the build up to the launch of the eighth published title in the Harry Potter series, eBay.co.uk has seen nearly one Harry Potter related item sold each minute.

In the last three months, more than 135,000 Harry Potter items, including Quidditch Chess Sets and Hogwarts Time Turners have sold via the online marketplace, coinciding with the release of the new The Cursed Child published title and West End performance.

eBay.co.uk has also revealed that there is currently over 16,000 Harry Potter related listings on the site, including 5,300 listings for wands and more than 1,800 listings for Gryffindor related items.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a two-part West End play written by Jack Thorne based on an original new story by Thorne, J.K. Rowling and John Tiffany.
