Harry Potter store heads to Heathrow

‘Harry Potter is loved across the globe and what better place to enjoy gift and souvenirs from the Wizarding World before our passengers fly to the other side of the world,’ says Heathrow’s Jonathan Coen.

A new Harry Potter store is heading to Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five this November.

Opening in time for the launch of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the shop will sell items including apparel, accessories, gifts, collectables and souvenirs.

Products have been inspired by Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station and the West End play Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Parts One and Two, as well Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

“We are proud to be opening The Harry Potter Shop at Heathrow Terminal Five, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and look forward to bringing some of our magic to the UK’s most iconic airport,” said Jonathan Sands of The Harry Potter Shop.

Boasting 600sq ft in size, the store will be situated following the security check in the terminal at the airport.

Paul Bufton, VP for licensing and business development EMEA at Warner Bros. Consumer Products, added: “Drawing on the huge success of the Platform 9 ¾ King’s Cross Station shop, we are delighted to be able to announce The Harry Potter Shop at Heathrow.

“This exciting shopping experience will offer fans a wide range of products from souvenirs to collectibles, along with exclusive Platform 9 ¾-inspired products to take on their journeys as they travel the world.”

Jonathan Coen, commercial director at Heathrow Airport, commented: “We are really pleased to welcome the new Harry Potter Shop to Terminal Five.

“Harry Potter is loved across the globe and what better place to enjoy gift and souvenirs from the Wizarding World before our passengers fly to the other side of the world. We hope our customers enjoy everything the new store has to offer as they take a little magic with them.”
