Justin's World apps look to target pre-schoolers

Top children's entertainer, Justin Fletcher, to launch new range of apps for age group.

The man known as Mr Tumble to a generation of children, Justin Fletcher, has launched a new project which aims to mix interactive learning through play.

Justin's World puts children in control of the activities, allowing them to consume content in a way and at a speed that suits them.

The first three apps - Goldilocks, Letter Sounds and Jigsongs - are now available from the Apple App store, with Android versions expected to follow shortly.

The apps have been developed in partnership with the creator of Mr Tumble and series producer of Something Special, Allan Johnston.

They use storybooks, games and puzzles that build on Justin's character-based performances, combining illustrations, video and music with curriculum-based teaching games from the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary National Curriculum.

Johnston commented: "We are working with an educational consultant to make sure our apps are not only great fun for kids, but also offer true educational value. Justin's World includes activities which are perfect for interaction between the child, the parents, grandparents, carers and even teachers to help them learn as they play."
