The Roald Dahl Literary Estate has unveiled a unique collaboration with LEGO in celebration of Roald Dahl Day.

The Roald Dahl Literary Estate is excited to announce an original collaboration with toy giant LEGO in celebration of Roald Dahl Day, the annual celebration of the iconic children's author on the anniversary of his birthday.

This year, Roald Dahl’s young heroes will be springing from the pages of the stories and travelling to locations around the UK with child-sized LEGO builds of six of Roald Dahl iconic heroes appearing at various locations across the UK.

Willy Wonka’s successor, Charlie will be found at Manchester Central Library; Anarchic inventor, George will be sited at Nottingham Station; the endearing rule-breaker, Matilda will be at home in The Cambridge Theatre; adventurous James will be holding the fort at Cardiff Castle and brave Sophie from The BFG will be at The Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland.

This month has also seen the launch of a new Roald Dahl chapter book Billy and the Minpins. The story was previously published as The Minpins and will now hit shelves for the first time with black-and-white line illustrations by Quentin Blake.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have such an exciting partnership and we can’t wait for our fans to be able to visit and see these wonderful heroes brought to life in LEGO,” commented Stephanie Griggs, licensing & design director at the Roald Dahl Literary Estate.
