Anatomy of a Contract will be first session in 2009/10 season from trade body.
Licensing trade association LIMA has revealed the line-up for its new series of online seminars.
The series kicks off on Wednesday September 16th with Anatomy of a Licensing Contract, presented by Gregory Battersby, co-founder of Grimes & Battersby and general counsel to LIMA since 1995.
He will examine licensing agreements clause by clause and explain the purpose of each provision from the perspective of both licensor and licensee. Battersby will also offer negotiation tips and discuss how to resolve impasses.
The next session - Presenting to Retail: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - will be held on Tuesday September 29th, followed by Putting Together a Licensed Promotion on Wednesday October 14th.
Future topics will include techniques for forecasting licensing revenue, the green side of licensing and challenges and opportunities in emerging markets.
The two-hour webinars are staged from noon to 2pm EST. Sessions are free for LIMA members and $99 per session for non members.
