Lonely Planet mag to hit France

BBC Magazines licences Paperbox for new international edition.

Lonely Planet Magazine will be published in France from next month, under licence from BBC Magazines to Paperbox.

This will be the third international edition of the title since it launched in the UK in December 2008. The deal also marks the first partnership between Paperbox and BBC Magazines.

The first edition of Lonely Planet Magazine France will go on sale from March 3rd. It will have a print run of 80,000 and a cover price of E4.90.

"We are delighted to have agreed this deal with Paperbox, which is particularly significant as it marks the first European licence for Lonely Planet Magazine since its UK launch in 2008," said James Hewes, head of international development at BBC Magazines.

The title will be edited by Vincent Rea.
