Madame Tussauds unveils Kong experience

The London attraction has created an 18-foot tall ape head that can grunt and roar, just like the real Kong.

To kick off the release of the new film Kong: Skull Island, Madame Tussauds has opened an experience inspired by the movie.

The London attraction has partnered with Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures for the new exhibit, which boasts a waxwork of Tom Hiddleston who plays Captain James Conrad.

There is also an 18-foot tall ape head on show, which has been set in the heart of the jungle. The giant animatronic head even blinks, grunts, breaths and roars.

“Creating such a large and life like animatronic figure is a first for the attraction and we cannot wait to share it with our visitors,” said Edward Fuller, general manager at Madame Tussauds.

“The experience will transport guests who dare enter to the islands of the South Pacific and give them a chance to embark on their own mission of discovery. Alongside our first wax figure of Tom Hiddleston, as Captain James Conrad, they’ll be able to feel the roar of the king of the jungle.”
