Anti-counterfeiting and brand licensing management added to decade-long relationship.
Major League Soccer has extended its long-standing partnership with anti-counterfeiting firm Opsec.
The two companies have worked together for the past ten years, with all of MLS' licensed merchandise - which totals $300m in sales - protected by a product authentication programme.
MLS' holographic labels use innovative overt and covert anti-counterfeiting technologies. In the last year, MLS has also implemented Opsec's licence management solution to streamline, automate and integrate its licensing business workflow.
The system provides efficient distribution of official trademark and brand guidelines and reduces turn-around time for artwork approvals. The additional deployment of the contracts management module this year will provide further efficiencies in royalty collection, contract renewals and asset management.
