Cast of characters joins Disney Infinity 2.0, Marvel Heroes and social and gaming apps.

Marvel is ramping up the gaming activity for Guardians of the Galaxy as the franchise joins Disney Infinity 2.0, Marvel Heroes and its social and mobile games.

The firm revealed its intentions to increase the gaming presence for the eclectic gang of space travellers during a panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Polygon and Gameinformer reports that a surprise announcement also revealed that the Green Goblin, Loki and more will also join Disney Infinity 2.0 in a special Marvel Villains figure set.

Coinciding with the launch of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in theatres this week, the free to play MMO Marvel Heroes 2015 will allow players to join with Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket and Groot.

Marvel: War of Heroes will also see the addition of the Guardians cast of characters while the team alongside Ronan the Accuser will be available in all versions of Marvel Pinball.
