Maya the Bee play areas to debut in Turkey

Visitors to the play areas can expect live entertainment as well as meet and greets with the show's title character.

Studio 100 International is to launch three exclusive Maya the Bee branded children's play areas across Turkey.

The international arm of the family entertainment company Studio 100 has confirmed that the play areas will be situated in popular shopping centres across the territory.

The agreement - brokered by Turkish licensing agent, Sinerji - will see Balo design and produce the play areas ranging from 200 to 2,000 metres squared and will include Maya the Bee themed playrooms.

Visitors to the play areas can expect live entertainment as well as meet and greets with the show's title character as well as Maya the Bee branded product, including plush.

Branded vending machines and Maya branded food and beverages will also be available.

The first of the three areas is scheduled to open in Forum Istanbul, the largest shopping and leisure centre in Europe, later this year.

Boasting a 175,000 square metre complex with 280 local and international brands, the shopping centre is expected to draw 20 million visitors annually.

Marie-Laure Marchand, international licensing director at Studio 100, said: "We are extremely proud of this exciting partnership.

"This ambitious project will take Maya the Bee to the next level in terms of promotion, retail presence and brand exposure in Turkey."

Studio 100 and Sinerji plan to make further licensing agreements in the territory throughout 2014.
