Hippo's House unveiled, pre-sales begin for Mike the Knight.
Hit Entertainment has revealed some strong progress on its development slate at Mipcom.
The company unveiled new property, Hippo's House, which is a 52x10-minute CG series set in a colourful and magical home inhabited by wooden toys with human aspirations. The aim of Hippo's House is to show how a group of friends learn to live together, introducing social and physical skills to its pre-school audience.
In addition, Hit is also in talks with international broadcasters regarding pre-sales of Mike the Knight. The first series will include 52x10-minute episodes.
The company has also signed multi BAFTA nominee pre-school writer Dave Ingham (Waybuloo, Charlie & Lola) for The Real Mees, which is aimed at four to six year-olds.
"It's a very exciting time for Hit as we ramp up our new content development portfolio," said Chris Rose, director of new content at Hit. "We are privileged to be working with some of the world's best creative talent on a wide range of cross platform programming for children aged two to 12 and we look forward to showcasing our new development slate to broadcasters and producers at this year's Mipcom."
