Frederick Warne teams with Chorion and Nickelodeon for new animated show.
The owner of the Beatrix Potter property, Frederick Warne has sealed a partnership with Chorion and Nickelodeon for a new animated pre-school series based on the characters featured in The Tales of Peter Rabbit.
The series - which will feature characters including Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny - is due to air in 2012 on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.
Frederick Warne and Chorion have appointed Nickelodeon as the agent to represent the licensing and merchandising rights for The World of Beatrix Potter brand, plus the new animation rights, in the US, Canada, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
Nickelodeon will also represent the licensing and merchandising rights for the new animation in India.
Frederick Warne retains underlying ownership of The World of Beatrix Potter brand and will continue to publish globally The Classic Tales and all publishing based on the new animation. Chorion will continue to represent the licensing and merchandising rights in the rest of the world.
