Moonscoop gets animated with GMTV

Broadcaster picks up over 200 half hours from the company's slate.

Moonscoop has scored a major deal with GMTV, with the UK terrestrial channel acquiring over 200 half hours from the firm's slate.

The deal includes Fantastic Four and Code Lyoko, Cosmic Quantum Ray and new series Hero: 108 for the Action Stations block, plus new Chloe's Closet for pre-school block, The Fluffy Club.

"This deal extends our good relationship with GMTV, which continues to provide an excellent terrestrial broadcast home for our series in the UK," said Lionel Marty, president of worldwide distribution at Moonscoop. "We already have a number of shows on air on GMTV and are very pleased by their commitment to a further volume of programming."

Mark Francis, GMTV's acquisitions and scheduling manager, added: "This deal ties in perfectly with the exciting re-launch of our Action Stations block this September. We are also delighted to be providing the UK terrestrial home for Chloe's Closet."
