Mr Bean back for third animated series

The series will air in 2019 on CITV across the UK and in International markets on Turner's Boomerang.

Tiger Aspect Productions, part of Endemol Shine Group has announced a third series of Mr Bean The Animated Series heading to CITV and Turner's Boomerang in 2019.

Legendary British comedian Rowan Atkinson will reprise his role as the quirky character and will continue to be involved in the creative direction of the show. The 26 x 11’ run will see Mr Bean and Teddy embark on new adventures, making new friends and getting into mischief along the way.

Mr Bean is a global sensation, broadcast in 195 territories with over 25 years in continual distribution. The brand has also seen phenomenal digital growth. Recently overtaking the likes of Taylor Swift and Harry Potter, Mr Bean is now the number 1 entertainment brand on Facebook with over 77 million fans, growing on average by 200,000 fans per week.

Tiger Aspect’s Head of Kids and Animation Tom Beattie will series produce with Katherine Senior executive producer, also of Tiger Aspect Productions, part of the Endemol Shine Group. Dave Osborne (Nexo Knights) will direct the series. Universal Pictures is Home Entertainment distributor for all the Mr Bean series.

In 2017 in the UK, Mr Bean The Animated Series exceeded the CITV channel average by 79% and on ITV it increased the slot’s 16-34 viewers by 43 per cent.
