In the last three months, over 1,800 Mr Happy items have been sold via the online marketplace, with Mr Bump and Mr Tickle placing second and third most popular.
Mr Men star, Mr Happy has topped a list of the nation’s favourite characters from the property’s 1971 original line up of six friendly faces.
In a survey conducted by the online market place, eBay.co.uk to mark the 45th anniversary of the children’s brand, Mr Happy outpaced the likes of Mr Bump, Mr Tickle and Mr Greedy who each placed second, third and fourth respectively.
EBay.co.uk has revealed that more than 1,800 Mr Happy related items have sold in the past three months, which works out as more than 20 items per day.
Mr Bump is a strong second, averaging nearly 900 items in the same period, while Mr Tickle comes in at third, delighting fans to the tune of 600 items sold over the three month period.
Mr Nosey and Mr Sneeze complete the line up of the top six Mr Men characters on eBay.co.uk, placing fifth and sixth.
‘With over 54,000 Mr Men listings on site, ranging from complete Mr Men box sets to Little Miss Naughty soft toys, it seems that the classic cartoon is still a hit 45 years on,’ read a statement from the online marketplace.
