Jakks, Dentsu and FremantleMedia Enterprises strike global content distribution deal.
Nickelodeon has snapped up the worldwide broadcast rights to new boys animation, Monsuno.
The series - which consists of 52 30-minute episodes - will launch on Nickleodeon channels in the US, Latin America, UK, key European and Eastern European territories, Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, Russia and Africa.
Monsuno will launch first in the US on Nicktoons.
The show is being co-produced by Pacific Animation Partners, a joint venture between Jakks Pacific and Dentsu Entertainment USA, with FremantleMedia Enterprises and The Topps Company.
"The Monsuno broadcast deal with Nickelodeon represents a critical milestone in our strategic plan to bring the Monsuno entertainment property to a global audience," said Stephen Berman, president and CEO of Jakks Pacific, which is also acting as the master toy partner.
The toy line is likely to hit retail to coincide with the US TV series premiere in spring 2012. The Topps Company will be producing Monsuno trading card games, confectioneries and related products.
