October 30th is new record date for stockholders entitled to vote on Disney deal.
Marvel Entertainment has set October 30th as the record date for the determination of stockholders entitled to vote at its upcoming special meeting of stockholders.
This replaces the previous record date of September 29th.
At the special meeting, Marvel's stockholders will be asked to adopt the merger agreement entered into by the firm and The Walt Disney Company - this would see Marvel become a wholly owned subsidiary of Disney.
The special meeting date has not yet been set. Marvel may have to adjust the record date to ensure that it is not more than 60 days prior to the date of the special meeting, as required by Marvel's by-laws.
