Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon are heading to 3DS, while Pokkén Tournament makes the move to Switch.
A slate of 'new' entries to the Pokémon video game series was announced yesterday via the Pokémon Direct live stream, which was viewed by fans around the world.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will be heading to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems in November. As an updated version of last year's games, the new versions will include a new storyline as well as other additional features.
The first Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch was also announced at the event in the form of Pokkén Tournament DX, a fighting game, developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment which fuses the world of Pokémon with the fighting system of Tekken. The original Pokkén Tournament was released on Nintendo Wii U in July 2015. This remastered version will include all content from the console and arcade versions of the game as well as unique new content. Pokkén Tournament DX will launch this September.
Finally, the firm confirmed that the 1999 classics Pokémon Gold and Silver would be appearing on Nintendo 3Ds' virtual console this Autumn.
