New product launches bolster Bang on the Door

Hong Kong success plus new partner lines get brand off to a strong start in 2012.

Bang on the Door has got 2012 off to a strong start, with the firm having enjoyed success at the Hong Kong International Licensing Show and key partners planning new line roll outs.

BOTD is looking to consolidate its presence in the Asia Pacific region following another successful show in Hong Kong. The firm signed up Pacific Licensing as its agent after appearing in 2011, with key deals so far including stationery (Philippines), bedding, home furnishings and apparel (Thailand) and stationery, bags, homewares and gifts (Indonesia).

In terms of other deals, Ice Water Press have a further 12 titles in development to add to its FABric Animals line. The range is currently selling in Australia, Ecuador, Spain and the US. Two lift-the-flap books, a Multi-flap book, jigsaw book and toddler board book slipcase are due for launch in 2012.

Elsewhere, Mothercare has begun its fifth year of BOTD apparel development, which sees the product going into over 50 countries via the direct to retail deal.

DNC is also continuing its FABric Animals developments this year, with a kitten and puppy lunchbag and bottle in topical Union Jack designs.

Meanwhile, Lanoo has created a FABric Animals stationery and bag range for this year for the Benelux region, using new characters Frog and Monkey.
