Nickelodeon set to launch branded family entertainment centres in Europe

The first centre will open in Spain during 2017, and will boast an adventure zone and Nickelodeon-themed rooms.

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) is partnering with leisure park operator Parques Reunidos to bring Nickelodeon family entertainment centres to Europe.

The first centre will open in Murcia’s Centro Comercial Thader in Spain during 2017, which will boast a 34,000sq ft space and will be equipped with interactive activities, an adventure zone and Nickelodeon-themed rooms.

Gerald Raines, senior VP of global recreation for Viacom International Media Networks, said: “Our goal at Nickelodeon is to be everywhere kids are, and we’re excited to diversify our portfolio to bring the Nickelodeon brand and characters to life through these new family entertainment centers.

“Parques Reunidos has been a great partner and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship to create another great entertainment experience for families in Europe.”

The new deal expands on the existing partnership between the two companies, following the success of Nickelodeon Land at Parque de Atracciones in Madrid, and NickLand at Movie Park German.
