Fashion agreements signed in key territories for motorcycle brand.
The licensing programme for Norton Motorcycles is gearing up for a strong 2010, having signed fashion deals in Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore for branded clothing.
The deal includes the appointment of a UK licensee to produce a distinctive range of clothing, with the aim being to extend its reach beyond biker fashion into younger, more mainstream markets.
The spring/summer 2010 collection will include printed and embroidered polo shirts and tees, lightweight and foil print sweats, plaid and striped laundered shirts and a mid-weight moto jacket.
"The addition of a new clothing range into the Norton portfolio is extremely significant and exciting," said Tony Norton, chairman of Norton Global Brands, which manages the worldwide licensing rights for Norton Motorcycles. "This allows a company with the heritage and credibility of Norton Motorcycles to reach new markets and create a new generation of Norton brand advocates."
Gift and collectables are already available for the brand, while Majorette has recently renewed its programme for die-cast products across Europe.
The Sharpe Company and Newman International are also on board as international agents.
