Global, regional and local licensees showing off product based on firm's properties at event.Key Warner Bros Consumer Products properties will be strongly represented at this week's Nuremberg International Toy Fair, with a combination of global, regional and local licensees all exhibiting new collections.
In fact, more than 100 skus will be supporting new brand initiatives for 2009 and beyond.
Mattel and Rubies will be exhibiting The Dark Knight ranges, while new TV series, Batman Brave and the Bold, is due to air in Europe from spring to drive further impetus for Batman toys.
"We are very impressed by the breadth of new products developed to support our new brand initiatives," commented Bruno Schwobthaler, senior VP of sales and business development, WBCP EMEA. "Over the next three years there is a clear opportunity to accelerate the sales from the DC Comics properties based on the growing popularity of Super Heroes.
"Broadening our Batman offering through new TV animation and new products is one of the steps towards maximising the whole DC Comics revenues."
The Looney Tunes Active programme also recently welcomed Simba Toys, which is showing a new collection of 15 outdoor toys, and Famosa, which has a range of plush at the show.
Schwobthaler continued: "Looney Tunes Active is a truly unique programme in the industry and we are very proud to have our characters championing a more active lifestyle for kids."
Popco and Noble, meanwhile, will be displaying toys and collectables lines for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, while Character Group will feature Scooby-Doo quite heavily on its booth.
