As licensing agent for the German national football team, One Entertainment will develop a new licensing program in key product categories across North America.
One Entertainment has revealed it is partnering with DFB-Wirtschaftsdienste GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of the German football federation Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB).
The new deal will see One Entertainment take on the role as licensing agent for the German national football team, who is the current FIFA World Cup champion, in the US, Mexico and Canada.
“We are excited to be working with DFB and the German national football team,” said Alex Altamirano, MD of One Entertainment.
“The team is a gold standard for the game and for fans around the world, and we believe it will add significant strength to our current football initiatives.”
One Entertainment will develop a new licensing program in key product categories across North America, with the first product lines set to hit shelves during Christmas 2016.
Denni Strich, director of marketing at DFB, added: “We are excited to be working with One Entertainment.
"They pioneered football licensing in North America and have a strong set of licensees and retail partners working with their soccer program. We are eager to extend the DFB experience to fans in North America.”
