P2 Games makes Android move

Firm to release Peppa Pig apps on platform for first time as part of expansion.

Interactive games publisher P2 Games is expanding into the Android market.

The firm's Peppa Pig apps will be the first of a number of titles to launch on the new platform. Peppa Pig Happy Mrs Chicken and Peppa Pig Polly Parrot will be priced at £1.99, with each app featuring the same content as the iOS products.

These include four interactive games, a bonus reward sticker book and artwork, music and sound effects from the show.

In addition, P2 is also extending its offering to a wider audience by launching the Humf, Peppa Pig Happy Mrs Chicken and Peppa Pig Polly Parrot apps on the Nokia store.

"The expansion of our licensed pre-school apps into the Android and Nokia markets marks a milestone in the history of our business and will provide a new source of incremental revenue," said Gerry Whiteside, co-director of P2 Games. "Following our success on iOS platforms, we're extremely excited that more families will have the opportunity to interact with our titles on a range of mobile devices."
