Pip proves a Mother's Day hit

Over the Moon property sees strong sell-through on Moonpig.com in lead up to big day.

Sales figures from online greetings card specialist Moonpig.com have shown that Pip designs from Over the Moon were a popular choice for Mother's Day.

More than 3,000 cards were sold in the run up to the big day, coming hot on the heels of equally strong Valentine's Day figures.

In addition to Moonpig, the cards are available through 500 High Street outlets, including Fenwicks and all branches of John Lewis.

As well as the UK, the cards are also selling well in France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

"These latest sales figures follow on from a very strong Valentine's Day performance and show that Pip is more popular than ever," said Kirsty Guthrie from KJG, the licensing agent for the brand. "Licensees are catching up to the character's huge potential and we have interest from potential partners across a wide range of categories."
