Plus Licens adds to portfolio

Independent licensing company to represent new pre-school series City of Friends worldwide.

One of Europe's largest independent licensing firms, Plus Licens will be representing the worldwide merchandising, promotional and publishing rights to City of Friends, a new pre-school show made in Norway.

With a production budget exceeding 100,000 Euros per episode, City of Friends is Norway's most lavish children's television production ever. The CG animated series has already been sold into TV channels in Scandinavia and Finland for 2010 launch and sales into other territories are underway.

The series will also be distributed on DVD in the Nordic region through Disney.

"City of Friends is inspired by children's fascination with vehicles and features anthropomorphic fire engines, ambulances and police cars, as well as human and animal characters, with cooperation, friendship, tolerance, knowledge, activity and fun as key values throughout," said Louise Lindquist, new business director at Plus Licens.

"We are happy to take part in this new powerful project from the beginning of its international launch."

Carl Christian Hamre, president and CEO of CreaCon Entertainment, and creator of City of Friends, added: "With strong partners as Walt Disney, a consulting team working previously for BBC and Hit Entertainment with the experience from Bob the Builder, Noddy, Postman Pat, Fireman Sam, Thomas and more, the agreement with Plus Licens now places another strong and experienced partner into the team working with us on our concept City of Friends."
