RDF Dances into new territories

Nine pre-sales secured for So You Think You Can Dance 4.

With So You Think You Can Dance launching at Mipcom next month, RDF Rights has secured nine pre-sales for season four of the hit 19 Entertainment/dick clark show.

The pre-sales are to TVA (Canada), MBC Middle East, Channel 4 Nelonen Finland, Fox International Channels (Italy), Kanal 11 Estonia and Fox Life Channel (Poland). Other territories include Asia, South Africa and Turkey.

In addition to the sales of the original US series, three new local versions have also just launched. SABC in South Africa achieved an average share of 43 per cent for the first two episodes of its new series; STB in Ukraine won 21.4 per cent share for episode one, beating the Friday average share of eight per cent; and RTL5 in the Netherlands more than doubled its share to 22.6 per cent for its target audinece demographic of 20-34 year olds.

Local versions of So You Think You Can Dance have also aired in Australia, Germany, Poland, Malaysia, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, New Zealand and Norway among others.
