Children's magazine publisher Redan Publishing has promoted Julie Jones to the exclusive role of managing director.
Jones has been a mainstay at Redan for the past 13 years, having joined as marketing manager in 2003 before being promoted to the role of publishing director only two years later. In her position she became heavily involved in major licensing and retail decisions for the firm and in 2013 was named joint managing director.
She now takes on the sole role of managing director, utilising her experience as a key decision maker in all aspects of Redan's business, from signing new licenses to the sale and distribution of all titles.
Based in Shrewsbury, Redan is currently the UK's leading independent publisher of children's magazines and pre-school specialist with populr brands including Peppa Pig and In the Night Garden within its portfolio.
"Julie has proved herself to be an indesepensable leader in our business," said Robert Sutherland, group chairman.
"Her knowledge of the worlds of children's licensing and magazine retail is absolute and her reputation as an intelligent and fair-minded business partner, made her promotion to managing director an incredibly easy decision to make."
