Former HarperCollins exec becomes acquisitions manager for media and entertainment division.
Penguin Children's Group has bolstered its team - hiring Richard Haines to the newly created role of acquisitions manager for the media and entertainment division.
Haines will report to publishing director, Eric Huang, and has been charged with hunting for up and coming media brands to grow the publishing list.
He joins the firm from HarperCollins, where he worked for almost five years in a variety of marketing, brand management and licensing acquisition roles.
Penguin is now hoping to use Haines' experience in brand building as it looks to grow its existing catalogue which includes Peppa Pig, Lego, Moshi Monsters, Doctor Who and Club Penguin, as well as launching new programmes.
