Seinfeld gets the Emoji treatment in new app

They're real and they're spectacular.

Fans of hit nineties sitcom Seinfeld could soon be sending each other Emojis inspired by the show thanks to a new app.

Seinfeld Emoji has been submitted to the Apple App Store and is currently awaiting approval.

The app includes icons of Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer as well as Newman and several iconic items from episodes like the puffy shirt, Junior Mints and pretzels.

Jason Richards, who runs the @Seinfeld2000 Twitter account, came up with the concept and Kevin McCauleyame has designed more than 40 emojis for the app.

All of the characters and objects are purposefully misspelled, a trait of Richards' @Seinfeld2000 account.
