Firm licences images for use on range of cheeky confectionery.
The agent for the Bamforth Vintage Collection, JELC has struck a deal with Spencer & Fleetwood which will see the firm produce a range of novelty gifts and confectionery.
A collection of four sweets - aniseed balls, butterscotch, pear drops and rhubarb and custard - will be produced in special packaging which uses images from the seaside postcard line.
"Interest from retail in the Great British Sweets range has been fantastic," said Kate Laming, marketing manager at Spencer & Fleetwood. "It seems that everyone knows the Bamforth collection. And the timing is perfect.
"With the 2012 Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year generating even more buzz around all things British, we expect the range to be popular for a very long time."
Janet Woodward, director at JELC, added: "The Bamforth Vintage Collection has found a truly tasty partner in Spencer & Fleetwood. And we are confident that the brand's strong market appeal is built to last."
