NVCP reveals new European agreements for popular character.

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has inked two brand new two-year deals which will see Spongebob Squarepants licensed to Sony BMG and local tea-maker, H&S Tee-Gesellschaft.

The deal means that products are now available throughout Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

The official Spongebob Squarepants 30-minute album soundtrack was launched last week by Sony BMG, with TV advertising in support.

Meanwhile, the branded tea is produced under the local label Goldmannchen, with the teabags available in several flavours including pineapple and melon.

Elsewhere, NVCP Benelux has revealed its first ever partnership with local bag maker, Hidalgo, to produce multi-property branded messenger bags made of canvas.

The Spongebob Squarepants, Avatar the Last Airbender, Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go bags will be available from mid April.

Dora the Explorer will also be airing for the first time on terrestrial television in Japan after TV Tokyo picked up new episodes of the show to broadcast from April 6th.
