Dubbed Star Wars Adventures, the comics will launch in autumn 2017, while Star Wars newspaper strips will be available from May.
A new line of Star Wars comic books for young readers are on the way from IDW Publishing.
Announced during the Lucasfilm Publishing Panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Star Wars Adventures will launch in autumn 2017, and will be part of the Journey to Star Wars: Last Jedi publishing programme.
“Lucasfilm is thrilled to expand its relationship with the talented and creative folks at IDW to bring Star Wars comics to kids,” said Michael Siglain, creative director of Lucasfilm Publishing.
“IDW has an incredible pedigree of talent, and we look forward to working with them on the creation of these fun, action-packed adventures that span the entire Star Wars saga.”
In addition, various content leading up to the next film’s launch will also be released.
Plus, a series of new collections of classic Star Wars newspaper strips will be available from May.
