Subsonic grabs Totally Spies

French video games accessory brand rolls out new products inspired by animated series.

Subsonic – French video games accessory firm – has picked up the rights to Marathon Media’s Totally Spies series and is planning a line of high-tech gadgets.

The firm will roll out branded accessories for the Nintendo DS system in June. These will include the WOOHP Bag – which boasts six pockets, a stylus holder, earphones pocket and compartments to store the likes of mobile phones adapters and other accessories.

The Fashion Bag, meanwhile, includes a crystal charm, while the Funky Pack comes in three colours (white, magenta and pink) and contains space for eight accessories. Finally, there is also a Mission Pack and Charm & Stylus pack available.

“Totally Spies is the perfect licence to meet the current Nintendo DS market boom within the young girls target group,” said Emmanuel Challouatte, accessories director at Subsonic. “Beyond the gaming experience, young girls will now have the opportunity to customise and dress their Nintendo DS console with a full line of ‘useful and trendy’ accessories.”

Totally Spies is the number one kids programme in France, watched by over a million children each week on TF1. It has over 120 licences around the world.
