A long time agent of 20th Century Fox, CPLG was awarded with several accolades at the firm's recent Homey Awards, held at Licensing International earlier this month.
CPLG represents Fox's properties in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France and Benelux.
CPLG Germany, Austria and Switzerland scooped Agent of the Year; Licensee of the Year was given to Abacab for The Simpsons fashion range in Italy (Gold Award), with TF1 Games' Ice Age 2 Scrat game picking up Silver; the Silver Award in Retailer of the Year went to Real for its Simpsons BBQ promotion in Germany; while Nutrexpa in Spain scooped the Gold Award in Promotion of the Year.
"It's a big honour for me and my team at CPLG Germany to receive this award as the best agency worldwide," said Gerold Kolenbrander, MD of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "The Fox relationship has allowed for us for many years to strike creative deals on Fox movie releases and form long-term strategic relationships with key clients on Fox evergreens, such as The Simpsons. This award is extremely meaningful to us."
Katarina Dietrich, CEO of CPLG, added: "I am thrilled with the success of CPLG at the Homey Awards. I believe it is testament to our continued successful partnership with Fox and its Licensing & Merchandising division."
Jennifer Buchanan, Fox's director of European licensing, concluded: "CPLG is the agent of record for Fox brands in Europe and has shown with their continued success this year that they are a strong partner. I congratulate CPLG on their success at this year's Homey Awards and look forward to working with the team again in our next fiscal year."
