The preschool franchise has also tapped new licensees in Iberia.

Aplha Animation's pre-school TV series Super Wings is taking flight on an international scale, having commenced its broadcast on Cartoonito, alongside the announcement of a fleet of new licensees in Iberia.

The Super Wings brand, which since its international take-off has clocked up millions of global sales, launched in Europe in 2016 and already holds the position of one of the top five properties in Italy, Spain and France.

“Having launched Alpha UK in January, we are delighted to announce the launch of Super Wings S1 on Cartoonito,” begins Mark Hyndman, UK & Ireland General Manager at Alpha Animation.

“Jett and his friends have delivered global success to date, especially in southern Europe where we have exceeded expectations. Super Wings has already generated over $150m in sales worldwide and we are excited to extend this global success into the UK from 2017.”

Elsewhere, Super Wings's Iberian licensor Nottingham Forest has announced a raft of new licensees in the region including Play by Play Famosa for plush, Heraclio Fournier for playing cards, Toy Bags, Kids Licensing for watches and gift stationery, Feber for electric vehicles and foot to floors, Arluy for biscuits, Cabreiroá for mineral natural water, Creativos Educativos for live shows and meet and greets and Jumpers for snacks.

The new licensed products are expected to debut later this year.
