TV Mania and Fabric Flavours to launch collections to coincide with the movie's arrival.

With The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hitting UK cinemas on December 13th, Warner Bros. Consumer Products have signed up TV Mania and Fabric Flavours to launch t-shirt collections.

TV Mania has designed a selection of t-shirts for children and teens, inspired by the characters and artwork from the films. The range will be available in Next stores and from Play.com.

Meanwhile, retro t-shirt specialist Fabric Flavours has created a line on vintage-inspired fabrics and pre-washed for extra softness. Due to hit the UK on December 16th, the tees will be available across a selection of independent boutiques and department stores including Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

"Apparel is the backbone of any successful licensing programme," said Paul Bufton, general manager, WBCP UK. "Both TV Mania and Fabric Flavours are key partners for us and we're delighted to be working with them on The Hobbit Trilogy, as they have clearly recognised the potential that the brand presents.

"We're confident their collections will connect with children, parents and adult fans of the films and we look forward to seeing them at retail."
