Designer Soula Zavacopoulos met Dragon?s Den tycoon after he tweeted about her business.
Homeware products, gifts and greeting cards design company The London Studio has received a business boost from Theo Paphitis.
The Dragons Den business magnate met The London Studio founder Soula Zavacopoulos after tweeting about her business to his 235,000 followers.
He tweets a Small Business Sunday award each week, and recently selected The London Studio.
Zavacopoulos said: “I had recently won The Gift of the Year Award which is like getting an Oscar in my industry. I tweeted this to Theo hoping it would tempt him to look at The London Studio website and see the products I’d designed which had won.
"He is a retail magnate and as I design products that are sold directly to retail, I knew that getting noticed by Theo would give me a huge business boost in the retail industry.”
Soula was invited to the inaugural SBS award ceremony at the end April, where she had the opportunity to meet with Theo and talk business.
“I have won a lot of awards for my design, art and photographic work, but the publicity you get by winning an award judged by Theo Paphitis is priceless," she added.
"It will help me grow the business and has come at exactly the right time because we are currently in the process of expanding.
“We design and publish our own designs, but as these have developed into top-selling brands we are now entering into licensing deals with companies who want to manufacture our best-selling brands across different areas, such as gifts, clothes, home-ware and stationery.
“I am sure the support from Theo championing my business and my design work via the SBS award will help a lot.”
