ITV Studios has partnered with Halifax and adam&eve DDB to launch a new TV advert featuring characters from the series.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has teamed up with Halifax and adam&eve DDB for a new TV advert featuring the characters of Parker and Lady Penelope from the classic '60s series.

The ad first broadcast on Saturday 25 March 2017 on ITV, during Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. In the ad, Lady Penelope’s long-suffering butler Parker visits a Halifax branch with a letter. Parker is amazed to discover that he has won the top prize of £500,000 in the Halifax Savers Prize Draw Superdraw.

Parker and Lady Penelope will also feature in branch, on outdoor posters and in online advertising. The campaign also includes social media, like top tips for saving from Brains, and a special mobile savings game, which will tour shopping centres in the UK, giving people the chance to play on a big screen and win prizes.

“Thunderbirds remains a popular and celebrated series that continues to live on in our cultural consciousness," commented Trudi Hayward, SVP, head of global merchandising for ITV Studios Global Entertainment

"We are thrilled to partner with Halifax to bring Lady Penelope and Parker - two iconic and much-loved characters - to TV screens yet again. Fans will recognise Parker’s wonderful dry wit, whilst new audiences will no doubt instantly warm to the pair and the unique relationship that they share.”
