Brand management firm will aim to develop the football brand across Australia and New Zealand.
Tottenham Hotspur FC is looking to capitalise on its brand awareness in Australasia, signing up Velocity Brand Management.
The three-year deal will see VBM help the club to source new licensees through exposure at key events. The relationship is already bearing fruit, with ISC signing up to produce Tottenham Hotspur leisurewear apparel.
Spurs has an estimated following of two million people across Australia and New Zealand, with Supporter Clubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and the Gold Coast.
Last year saw the club launch sell-out football development programmes in Perth and Dunsborough, with more courses due to be launched throughout 2013.
"We're delighted to announce a partnership with Velocity Brand Management to develop our international licensing programme across Australasia," said Gary Jacobson, brand licensing manager for Tottenham Hotspur. "As a club, we're always looking to take Tottenham Hotspur into new and exciting areas of retail.
"VBM has an extensive network of contacts across Australasia and can help us understand retail trends and consumer habits within the region."
James Ashworth, MD at VBM, added: "We are very excited to partner with one of football's premier clubs."
