Turner Broadcasting EMEA appoints new VP media distribution

Former Walt Disney exec, Humphrey Black, takes on newly created role.

Turner Broadcasting has welcomed Humphrey Black to the newly created role of vice president of media distribution EMEA.

Black (pictured) will be responsible for developing the content distribution strategy to maximise the revenue and operating income across all lines of business.

He will report to Giorgio Stock, president of Turner Broadcasting EMEA, and will be based in the head offices in London.

Black joins the firm from The Walt Disney Company where he was director of channel distribution EMEA. Previously he also held roles at Virgin Media and Spectrum Strategy Consultants.

"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Humphrey, who brings the solid experience and the vision required to lead Turner's strategy in this extremely important area," said Stock. "This reflects a further step in our commitment to developing customised and lasting relationships with our distribution partners in an increasingly dynamic and complex marketplace, and is critical for the growth and development of our business across the region."
