Universal signs up Gameloft for Despicable Me 2 mobile game

Free-to-play title will launch this summer to coincide with the film release.

Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment has enlisted GameLoft to develop the official Despicable Me 2 mobile game.

The 3D computer generated film sequel hits cinemas on July 3rd.

Gameloft will launch Despicable Me 2 on Android and iOS devices, working alongside the Illumination creative team to ensure the movie's distinct humour is replicated on the small screen.

"Audiences love the characters in Despicable Me – and they are creating an engaging game for kids, teens and adults around the world to interact in an incredibly fun and exciting way."
