US: DC Super Hero Girls to make US TV debut in hour long special on Boomerang

Super Hero High will air on Boomerang on Saturday, March 19th and will feature a cast of female super heroes from the new comic universe from Warner Bros, DC Entertainment and Mattel.

The DC Super Hero Girls are preparing for its US debut in a one hour special feature called Super Hero High later this month.

The feature will air in the US Boomerang on Saturday, March 19th and will feature a cast of female super heroes from the hotly anticipated new comic universe from Warner Bros, DC Entertainment and Mattel.

The feature will centre upon new student to Super Hero High, Supergirl as she teams with the college’s IT girl Barbara Gordon in order to learn to harness her powers. Meanwhile, the Junior Detective Club, made up of The Flash, Bumblebee and Hawkgirl, investigates a rash of security breaches.

‘The DC Super Hero Girls world centers on the female Super Heroes of the DC Comics universe during their formative high school years—prior to discovering their full super power potential. Featuring a completely new artistic style and aesthetic, DC Comics’ icons such as Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, Katana and many more, make their unprecedented teenaged introduction,’ read a statement on the new feature.

‘Each character has her own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering her unique abilities, nurturing her remarkable powers and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.’

DC Super Hero Girls merchandise is now on US shelves exclusively at Target with products ranging from toys, dress up, apparel and accessories to publishing.
