US home entertainment deal inked for Poppy Cat

Coolabi secures agreement with Entertainment One.

Coolabi has sealed a US home entertainment and digital distribution deal with Entertainment One for Poppy Cat.

eOne is planning to launch the brand on DVD in the autumn. This follows a successful debut for Poppy Cat on Sprout in November.

The brand also has a licensing presence in the US through The Joester Loria Group, which is currently in discussions with potential partners for toys and other key categories.

"As eOne continues to expand our family programming in the US, we are delighted to partner with Coolabi on such a wonderful and enriching new children's property as Poppy Cat," said Michael Rosenberg, president, film and distribution at Entertainment One US.

Michael Dee, director of content at Coolabi, added: "We are thrilled by the response to Poppy Cat in the US since its launch on Sprout this past November, and we are equally delighted to be partnering with a company of eOne's stature in this important territory to extend the adventure for young Poppy Cat fans."
