US: JRL Group signs first partner for the Billy Goat Tavern brand

“We are delighted to bring an iconic restaurant brand and a leading manufacturer of quality food together.”

JRL Group has signed its first licensing partner for the famous Billy Goat Tavern brand.

The new partnership sees Devanco Foods develop a line of frozen burgers, including the Curse Breaker (a full 1/3 pound, pure beef patty) and the Billy Goat Original (a 3.2 ounce pure beef patty).

The range is now available across the US.

“Devanco Foods understands the heritage of the Billy Goat brand and is excited to launch the Billy Goat licensing programme with another Chocago icon, Jewel-Osco stores.”

JRL Group is now working to bring the Billy Goat brand experience to other food products and further categories including beverages, housewares, publishing, gifts, apparel and accessories.

“Billy Goat Tavern is known throughout the world and is a destination for so many Chicago diners and visitors,” said Devanco Foods President and CEO, Peter Bartzis.

Bob Geocaris, VP of marketing and sales at Devanco, added: “The Curse Breaker and The Original Billy Goat burgers are delicious. We love the products and are proud to bring this part of the Billy Goat experience to home cooks.”
