Vegas 2010 takes shape

More than 75 per cent of last year's exhibitors already re-signed; show celebrating its 30th year.

Advanstar has said that more than 75 per cent of exhibitors at Licensing International 2009 have re-signed for this June's show.

After a successful debut at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas last year, the show - which is celebrating its 30th anniversary - returns from June 8th to 10th.

Big name firms including 4Kids, BBC, Cartoon Network, CBS, Disney Consumer Products, Dreamworks, Electronic Arts, Fremantle, Marvel, Hasbro, LucasFilm, Mattel, Paramount, Sesame Street, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal and Warner Brothers among others have all pledged support.

New and returning show features will include the Fashion Avenue Cafe, The Gaming & Interactive Zone, onsite art gallery and services - a first for the show - and an international networking lounge.

Also returning will be the Retail Tour; a one day tour where audiences will learn retail and licensing strategies from key US-based retailers.

"Licensing International Expo 2010 is adding specific areas within our show floor to reflect the growth we're experiencing in emerging segments including video games, apparel and entertainment," explained Liz Crawford, show director at Advanstar Communications. "This year's show also provides opportunities for marketing professionals to grow their brand while significantly raising incremental revenue as consumer audiences grow increasingly difficult to reach."
