Titan Publishing Group will release a series of original novels based on the TV show.
CBS Consumer Products has signed its first licensing deal for hit Sherlock Holmes-based TV drama Elementary.
In 2014, Titan Publishing Group will release a series of original novels, created in conjunction with the show’s production team, that will allow fans to "immerse themselves in Sherlock Holmes’ eccentric life in contemporary New York City".
“Elementary is a dynamic series with many fascinating stories,” said Liz Kalodner, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products.
“The novels will feature Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in all-new adventures that will further engage fans in the mysterious world of Elementary.”
The TV series, which stars Jonny Lee Miller as the modern day Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as partner Joan Watson, was recently picked up for a second season.
In its first season, Elementary averaged 12.65 million viewers a week and was the number one new series of the season.
Elementary airs on CBS in the US on Thursday evenings.
