Wallace & Gromit head to Frankfurt's Filmmuseum in first The Art of Aardman exhibition

The iconic line-up will feature alongside a cast of characters from the Aardman Animation cannon in a new show that will run from June 17th through to October 30th.

Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Morph are all starring in a new The Art of Aardman exhibition at the German Filmmuseum in Frankfurt.

The iconic line-up will feature alongside a cast of characters from the Aardman Animation cannon in a new show that will run from June 17th through to October 30th.

Targeting a family audience, the exhibition marks the first time Aardman has played a starring role in a major showcase in Germany.

‘Aardman is not only an Oscar-winning crowd puller, but also an interational pioneer of modern storytelling and has ben responsible for a renaissance of the traditional stop motion process in the digital age,” said Claudia Dillmann, director of the Deutsches Filmmuseum.

Artworks from the Wallce & Gromit titles, the Shaun the Sheep Movie and Chicken Run will all feature in the exhibition along with over 120 concept drawings, character and background studies, watercolours and storyboards.
