Warner rolls out Sesame Street games

Two pre-school titles for Nintendo Wii, DS and PC launched in the US.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has released two educational video games in the US featuring characters from Sesame Street.

Sesame Street: Elmo's A-to-Zoo Adventure and Sesame Street: Cookie's Counting Carnival are available on Nintendo Wii and DS formats, plus PC.

They aim to teach youngsters skills including letter identification, letter sounds, math skills, number identification, counting, shapes and pattern recognition.

Gameplay helpers are included in each title - an Elmo or Cookie character cover with special grips that slip over the Wii Remote, minimising unnecessary buttons and making it easier to hold. For Nintendo DS, there is a jumbo click stylus designed for smaller hands.

"The games are entertaining and intuitive, enabling the youngest kids in the family to have fun while learning at their own pace," said Samantha Ryan, SVP, development and production, WBIE.
