Zinkia unveils Talking Pocoyo app

Release driven by consumer demand for more interaction with character.

Zinkia Entertainment has released a new Pocoyo app on iTunes.

Talking Pocoyo features a fully animated 3D Pocoyo, speech recognition and video recording options.

The speech recognition allows Pocoyo to repeat anything that is said to him, while the character also comes to life when poked, played with or tickled on touch-screen devices.

Other features allow children to imitate Pocoyo's dance moves, play a musical instrument and discover ten pre-recorded melodies to dance to along with Pocoyo and guess which animal the character is imitating.

Additional dances and musical instruments are available with the in app purchase cart.

The app is available in English, as well as Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian, French, German and Italian.

"Talking Pocoyo gives fans a higher level of engagement for Pocoyo's worldwide fan base and unlimited fun," said Maria Doolan, MD, brand and business development at Zinkia.

Genera Interactive, which is Zinkia's development partner for Talking Pocoyo, has generated over five million downloads worldwide to date for its My Talking Toys line of apps.
